My wife and I ended up in Europe for business reasons and decided to make a trip out of it. It was my first time to Rome, and something I’ve been longing after for quite awhile. Want to get away? Go to Rome! Or better yet, get married at St. Peter’s and take me along!
It really is was one of the most amazing places in the world — where else can you sit in a 2000 year-old forum eating gelato? Enjoy the photographs~
One of our first stops on the way to Oxford was the perplexing Stonehenge. If you fill out an application way in advance you can arrive before the gates are opened to the public and get an up close and personal look within the circle.

After that we stopped at Oxford to grab a pint at the ‘Eagle & Child‘, aka ‘The Bird and the Baby’. Fan’s of J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis would know that this is the pub where the two would meet for the Inklings writers group. It’s also the location where C.S. Lewis discussed his proofs for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Cool, huh?

Onto Rome! First, the prominent facade of the Basilica of St. John Lateran– I loved the outstretched arm…

And for the Harry Potter fans: Platform 9 3/4! Yes, that is my wife pushing her cart through the wall~

I get so jealous of how content Sadie (our beagle) gets in front of the fire. Only a few more weeks of winter. Until then, let these fun shots take you to that warm place.

Trying to catch up on my lack of blogging– I wanted to exhibit the rest of the photos that I teased about in a previous post. Ryan & Anastasia held their reception at the gorgeous Addison Park, and were married at one of the most beautiful Orthodox churches I’ve seen in New Jersey. I had to really refrain from making this a 50 image post, enjoy!
Meet Sylwia and Robert, a lively Polish couple I will be photographing in a few months for their wedding. I loved how easy we got along right off the bat, definitely looking forward to their special day– I also got a chance to play with my wireless flashes underneath the terrace in front of the Bethesda fountain, check it out:
Previously I posted some images showing off the energy and excitement of one of my favorite receptions– Now you’ll get a chance to meet the happy couple.
For any past grooms out there, this should remind you of that moment before the ceremony. You know what I mean, the “alright, let’s do it” moment.

I just love this shot– and I will rarely say that about my own work. For me it’s a beautiful manifestation of the mutually divine and human event taking place during the ceremony— I especially love how the saints are overlooking the altar…

This had to be one of the craziest receptions I’ve been to in awhile. People did not stop dancing, if you plucked the string of a guitar the floor would be instantly full of people. Photos soon to come of the beautiful bride and her husband, but first some fun shots of the band:

Apologize for the hiatus, returned from a visit back home. For your viewing pleasure I would like to introduce you to Jen & Mike– they are one of those young, enthusiastic, and in-love couples that make my job worthwhile. The weather was cloudy, rainy, and chilly– but that really only served to contrast and exhibit the life, love, and friendship that surrounded them on their special day.
BAM!
